Tattoo Tom is best known for his ‘full colour nerdism’ tattoo style, creating custom pieces in the style of existing animated pop culture icons. His particular specialties are Disney, Pokemon, the Simpsons, Studio Ghibli, and Cartoon Network characters.

He won his first award whilst still serving his apprenticeship in Bournemouth, UK and has subsequently won competitions internationally. He opened his Poole based pop culture themed tattoo studio The Rising Tide in 2015.

In 2016, he was a guest judge at Lucas Film’s Star Wars Celebration Europe’s tattoo competition, and he has been listed by Tattoodo as one of their top 5 pop culture artists. As well as travelling to tattoo conventions and studios internationaly, he also regularly tours with the Ink Fusion Empire, tattooing at comicons and fan conventions, including MCM in London.

Tom is passionate about social justice, and when he isn’t tattooing or oil painting, he has devoted his life to campaigning for animal liberation, human rights, and the environment. He is a keen writer, which he pursues via his side project Rebel Co. Press. As well as art, Tattoo Tom spends most of his time enjoying the Dorset countryside and Poole Harbour; paddle boarding, skating, and hiking.

BOOKINGS AND ENQUIRIES

I work at Chimera Studios in Bournemouth town center. If you would like to enquire about, or book a tattoo, please fill out the form below.

Please note, there are some rules:

  1. Only full colour tattoos will be considered.
  2. Only the body parts listed will be considered.
  3. For reworks, coverups, or working around existing tattoos, photos of the area are required in advance. Please have them ready, so that they can be sent via email when you recieve a responce to your query.
  4. Coverups, or reworks will only be taken on if they can make it look as good as a fresh tattoo. If this is not possible, laser removal will be recommended as an option to lighten the existing tattoo so that it can be covered with something that will remain beautiful forever.
  5. Designs will only be created once a booking has been made, and secured with a deposit.
  6. Tattoos by other artists must not be copied or stolen; they can be used as reference to provide an example of your ideas, but you will not recieve an identical tattoo to someone else. Art by people who aren’t tattoo artists will be considered only if the original artist’s permission is sought.
